DNp36 [FBbt_00052715]

Sexually-dimorphic descending neuron of the posterior brain (Lillvis et al., 2024; Sturner et al., 2025). It is a fruitless neuron that develops from the first intermediate neural progenitor to form from neuroblast DM6 during the larval stage (Ren et al., 2016). There is one of these cells per hemisphere (Cachero et al., 2010; Ren et al., 2016; Sturner et al., 2025) and it is part of the pMP-f cluster (Ren et al., 2016).
