From Strausfeld pg 99 in Musca Domestica (FBrf0239233, FBrf0239234). Confirmed as present in Drosophila melanogaster by VH & WP, but possible disagreement (or terminology clash) between VH and WP. WP has it connecting optic foci to great commissure.
