It has a comprehensive dendritic region posteromedial to the cell body and a dense axonal arborization region anteromedial to the dendrites (Zhao et al., 2019). It is inhibited by blue light and is involved in light avoidance behavior (Zhao et al., 2019). There is one of these cells per hemisphere (Zhao et al., 2019).
