Adult unilateral, multiglomerular antennal lobe projection neuron from the dorsal hemilineage of the lateral neuroblast (ALl1) whose dendrites innervate antennal lobe glomerulus VP1d (Bates et al., 2020; Marin et al., 2020). It receives primarily olfactory input (Marin et al., 2020). It fasciculates with the medial antennal lobe tract to innervate the mushroom body calyx, in some cases continuing to the lateral horn (Marin et al., 2020). There are around five of these per hemisphere and they are cholinergic (Marin et al., 2020; Bates et al., 2020).

Unlike Marin et al. (2020), Bates et al. (2020) distinguish one of these (#1 in Marin et al., 2020) as a separate type that is pan-glomerular. Mapped to M_lPNm11D based on body IDs in Marin et al. (2020) supplement and notes in neuprint.
